
Dr. Klemke is a senior strategist at Get on Track Bioconsulting (GOTBio, formerly Biosciences Consulting), a full Professor at UC San Diego, a board member of SwissMed Health, and founder of Cytonus Therapeutics. Recognized globally for his innovative problem-solving in life sciences, bioecosystem development, and strategic consulting, he leads transformative projects at GOTBio, helping clients translate ideas into pioneering biotech solutions and foster corporate growth. With extensive experience partnering with both U.S. and international life sciences leaders—including CSL Behring, Merck, Pfizer, Corning Costar, Nikon, and Sigma—Dr. Klemke has been instrumental in developing advanced therapeutics, reagents, and strategic insights into drug delivery, immune oncology, and the mechanisms behind complex diseases like cancer, Alzheimer’s, ARDS, sepsis, and pancreatitis.
At UC San Diego, Dr. Klemke holds dual titles in Pathology and Cancer Biology, and serves as a Professor at the UCSD Medical School and Moores Cancer Center. He directs the Cancer Imaging Network, the Proteomics Center of Excellence, and the Contract Research Center within the Department of Pathology, bridging academia and industry through internship and workforce development initiatives, as well as contract research. His prolific contributions, including numerous publications and patents, have been recognized with awards from federal and private entities such as the NIH, DOD, NSF, and CIRM, underscoring his impact on immune oncology, stem cell biology, regenerative medicine, drug development, proteomics, and bioinformatics.
A lifelong baseball enthusiast and coach, Dr. Klemke applies his strategic mindset, adaptability, and leadership skills—refined on the field—to biotech consulting, empowering teams to pursue innovative solutions. Dr. Nicos Nicolaou is a US-trained, board‑certified specialist in Anatomic Pathology, Clinical Pathology, and Cytopathology. He earned his medical degree from the University of Leipzig in Germany and completed his residency in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology at Lenox Hill Hospital (Northwell Health) in New York, followed by a fellowship in Cytopathology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia.
Since joining Lenox Hill Hospital in 2012, Dr. Nicolaou has served as an Attending Physician in Anatomic & Clinical Pathology, later becoming Chief of Cytopathology and previously leading the Immunohistochemistry division. He is also an Associate Professor of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Hofstra Northwell School of Medicine, where he has received multiple teaching awards for his contributions to medical education.
Recognized internationally for his expertise, Dr. Nicolaou has been honored by the American Society of Cytopathology and named among The Leading Physicians of the World. His innovative work includes a provisional patent for an automated cytology smear‑preparation system. Fluent in English, German, and Greek, Dr. Nicolaou brings a global perspective, technical excellence, and over a decade of diagnostic leadership to the field of histopathology.
